Riding’times GT73: the full-size electric motorbike at the sensible price
Two removable 48V 18.2Ah batteries, a 2400W peak hub motor, full suspension and 25-inch dirt tires, on exactly the same frame as the GT73 Pro. It gives up some top speed to its bigger brother and nothing at all in range, comfort or the way it looks parked outside a coffee shop.

Power for the everyday, and for the weekend
The GT73 is built for the rider who wants one machine for both jobs: a comfortable, quiet run across town on weekdays, and gravel, fire roads and open trails when there is time for them. Dual batteries, fat dirt tires and long-travel suspension are the parts that make the second job possible; the first one it simply does.
Five riders who filmed their GT73
Riding’times collect the reviews owners post themselves. We would rather you heard from them than from us. These open on YouTube.
Watch the GT73 leave the road
Riding’times’ own footage: tarmac, gravel, dirt and sand, on one machine and one set of tires. Press play; it does not start on its own.
Power that keeps up with the ride
The GT73 pairs two 48V 18.2Ah lithium packs, 1747 watt-hours between them, with a 2400W peak rear hub motor and a 48V 30A controller. Riding’times rate it at 126 Nm of torque and 28 to 37 mph depending on the surface and the load, on a full-twist throttle that gives you all of it from a standstill.
Range is the same as the Pro: up to 85 miles on the throttle alone, up to 155 miles with pedal assist. Both packs lift out of the frame, and two 54.6V 2A chargers are in the box so they fill together, in nine to ten hours, on the frame or indoors.
- Motor 1200W rated, 2400W peak
- Torque 126 Nm
- Battery 2 x 48V 18.2Ah, removable, UL 2849
- Range 85 mi throttle / 155 mi assist
- Charging 9–10 h, twin chargers

Composed on every kind of road
An inverted aluminium front fork with adjustable damping, and a hydraulic rear shock rated at 1200 lbs. Riding’times moved the rear from a plain spring to a hydraulic unit, and the difference is in the damping: the wheel follows the ground instead of bouncing off it, and the machine settles faster after a hit.
Braking is by two hydraulic discs on 230mm rotors with electronic braking from the motor on top. Under it all sit 25 by 3 inch dirt tires, 70/100-19 motorcycle sizing, on load-bearing 7074 alloy rims. The IPX4 rating covers spray and splashes; charging is the one place water never belongs. Never plug in a machine that is wet or whose battery looks swollen. Bring it straight in to us.
- Front inverted fork, adjustable damping
- Rear 1200 lb hydraulic shock
- Brakes dual hydraulic, 230mm + EABS
- Tires 25 x 3 in (70/100-19)
- Load rating 330 lbs

The details Riding’times photograph

Engineered for power
The motor lives inside the rear hub with the brake rotor beside it: no chain to stretch, no derailleur to bend on a rock. It delivers its 2400W peak smoothly from the first degree of throttle, which is what lets a powerful machine be ridden gently through a car park.

Dual battery system
Two 48V 18.2Ah packs sit inside the frame triangle for a combined 36.4Ah. Both are removable, both UL 2849 compliant, and both charge at once on the supplied pair of chargers.

Rear shock absorber
Upgraded from a spring to a hydraulic unit. Hydraulic damping controls how fast the suspension returns, so a series of bumps does not build into a pogo, and the rear wheel stays planted under braking.

Comfort meets style
A long, shaped saddle for standing up and sitting back down all day, with the LED taillight moulded into it so nothing protrudes to be broken. The same light doubles as the brake light and works with the turn signals.

Triple LED lighting
Three LED headlamps in the nose, bright enough for an unlit trail and wide enough that a driver at a junction sees a shape rather than a dot. Turn signals front and rear complete the set; ambient lighting is an option.
GT73 or GT73 Pro
Same frame, wheels, brakes, suspension, range and load rating. The Pro moves to 60V packs, a 3000W peak motor, 338 Nm and a five to six hour charge. The GT73 is the one to choose when 37 mph is plenty. The GT73 Pro has its own page.
